Headjoint with Bamboo Lipplate

This is an experimental metal headjoint with a bamboo lipplate. The tube is made of a special nickel alloy drawn through an arbor which has a very similar taper as that of a Louis Lot's from the Villette period. There is no silver plating on the nickel tube. The lipplate is carved from a thick piece of bamboo and applied to the tube. I kept the natural outside curvature of the bamboo, so that the skin of the bamboo is unaltered. This headjoint has a beautiful warm tone, strong low register and very fast response. I will make another one on a silver tube for comparison.
