Hand Rubbed Lacquered Bamboo Flutes
Lacquering technique has been used on musical instruments for a long time. Lacquer seals the organic material of which the bamboo instrument is made, hence protecting it from the elements. It also adds beauty to the artifact.
Both contemporary and tradition colors are used on my lacquered bamboo flutes. Each flute is hand rubbed to a high mirror finish.
